In a recent article, IGN contributor Matt Oakes explored how to build an “artificial” garden step stone that would make your favorite garden look amazing in real life.
The article ended with Oakes revealing a few DIY steps that he’s used to make his garden step stones.
Here are the steps that Oakes has used to build his “gardening step stone”: 1.
Build a DIY greenhouse step stone 1.
Start by taking a step.
“You can build a wooden greenhouse with a wooden frame and a garden netting board,” Oakes wrote.
“Just use the netting to create a temporary structure for the steps.
You can then cut it off the netbing and attach it to the steps.”2.
Add the stone to your garden 3.
Take your garden nettings to your backyard and add some soil 4.
Install the step stone 5.
Check your step stone to see if it’s sticking to it.
“If it’s not sticking, then you can replace it with a garden stepping stone, but be sure to cut it down before you add the soil,” Oaken explained.
“When you have the stone cut down, take a step back and check if the stone is still sticking.”6.
Take a step and check the soil depth 7.
Add a garden step to your patio 8.
Keep doing this for a while and eventually, you’ll have a concrete stepstone in your backyard.
