Olive Garden is closing for the 2018 season due to a drought in the central United States, according to a statement from the company.
The company said it would make a statement on its Twitter account Friday morning.
It’s unclear when the Olive Garden will reopen.
The company is a major player in the outdoor recreation industry and it operates more than 60 restaurants.
In a statement, the company said, “While we are saddened to learn that we may not be able to reopen Olive Garden as of this year, we know we will return to business as usual as soon as possible.”
It’s not the first time Olive Garden has been in trouble.
The chain had trouble making money in 2017 after the drought hit, and the company faced a number of lawsuits from customers.
